        "content": "<p>PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) secured 47 percent of Indonesia\u2019s\nfour-wheeled vehicle market in February 2026 after recording sales of\n38,074 units, a rise of approximately 9 percent from the previous\nmonth.<\/p>\n<p>The contribution came from various brands under the Astra umbrella,\nincluding Toyota and Lexus, Daihatsu, and commercial vehicles such as\nIsuzu and UD Trucks.<\/p>\n<p>Cumulatively, Astra\u2019s vehicle sales throughout January\u2013February 2026\nreached 72,941 units. In the same period, national vehicle sales\ntotalled 147,631 units, representing an increase of approximately 10\npercent compared with the corresponding period last year.<\/p>\n<p>Astra\u2019s Head of Corporate Communications, Windy Riswantyo, stated\nthat market movement in February indicated that automotive industry\nactivity was becoming increasingly buoyant at the start of the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe movement in sales during February 2026 demonstrates a more\ndynamic national automotive market at the beginning of the year and\nreflects an increase in vehicle purchasing activity,\u201d Windy said in a\nstatement on Thursday (12 March 2026).<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the momentum of Ramadan and Eid 2026, which are\nassociated with increased public mobility, has the potential to provide\nadditional impetus for vehicle demand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to endeavour to present products and services that\nalign with community needs, supported by an integrated network of sales\nand after-sales service throughout Indonesia,\u201d Windy added.<\/p>\n<p>Contributing models include the Toyota Calya and Toyota Agya from\nToyota, as well as the Daihatsu Sigra and Daihatsu Ayla from\nDaihatsu.<\/p>",
