Astra CMG debuts health plan<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): PT Astra CMG Life insurance company launched on
\nMonday the Danatra Citra Plus, a health insurance scheme that
\noffers protection against various critical illnesses and also
\nserves as an old-age saving plan.<\/p>\n
Company director Suparno Djasmin said the scheme, offered to
\npeople aged between 16 and 50 years old, would provide insurance
\nfor clients until they reached 60 years, an age when most people
\nare worried about their health and are likely to suffer from
\ncritical illnesses.<\/p>\n
"Our market research indicates a growing need for an insurance
\nscheme that covers critical illnesses such as heart attack,
\ncancers, transplantation of vital organs, the liver, burns,
\nstroke and paralysis," the company's president Steve Heald said.<\/p>\n
PT Astra CMG Life reported a 50 percent increase in premium
\nincome in the first 10 months of the year and an 80 percent rise
\nin new policy holders.<\/p>\n
Heald said the scheme was expected to contribute 30 percent of
\nthe company's total sales growth in the next three years.<\/p>\n
As the country recovers from the economic crisis, Astra CMG is
\ntargeting a 10 percent increase in policy holders over the next
