        "content": "<p>The House of Representatives\u2019 Legislation Body (Baleg) has denied\ninformation suggesting the Asset Forfeiture Bill has been removed from\nthe 2026 Priority National Legislation Programme (Prolegnas). This was\nconveyed by Baleg Deputy Chair Martin Manurung. He stated that no\ndecision was ratified in a plenary session regarding the removal of the\nAsset Forfeiture Bill from this year\u2019s Priority Prolegnas. \u201cThe bill is\nstill registered in the 2026 Priority Prolegnas as number six, proposed\nby the DPR,\u201d Martin said in an official statement on Monday, 13 July\n2026. He said the legislative body and the government are focused on\ncompleting the drafting of the Asset Forfeiture Bill. Therefore, Martin\nstated that its deliberation must be carried out optimally and involve\npublic participation. \u201cThe drafting meetings are continuing intensively\nin Commission III,\u201d said the NasDem Party politician. On a separate\noccasion, Chair of House Commission III Habiburokhman dismissed the\nissue of any rejection attempt from parliament regarding the enactment\nof the Asset Forfeiture Bill. According to him, such rumours have\nrecently been circulating on social media. \u201cSo it is not true, there is\na hoax in the mass media, mostly from anonymous accounts saying the DPR\nrejects the enactment of the Asset Forfeiture Bill,\u201d he said at the DPR\ncomplex in Jakarta on Monday, 13 July 2026. He stated that his\ncommission remains committed to completing the formation of this new\nlegal product regulating the forfeiture of corruptors\u2019 assets. \u201cWe are\ngoing full throttle with turbo to establish this Asset Forfeiture Law,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>",
