ASI's answer to nation's problems<\/p>\n
Observing recent media reports on developments in our country
\nahead of the upcoming general election, we, the Alliance For a
\nSingle Indonesia (ASI), herewith express our deep concern and at
\nthe same time our disappointment regarding the tendency of
\npolitical parties to discredit one another, especially regarding
\ntheir presidential nominees.<\/p>\n
In our opinion, it is not fair for political parties and
\npoliticians -- either directly or through third parties -- to
\ndiscredit the presidential nominees of other political parties.
\nThis act reveals a lack of political maturity.<\/p>\n
In this context, we wish to express the following:
\n* Politicians, political party figures and the teams that
\npolitical parties have set up to ensure the success of their
\npresidential nominees in the presidential election, should
\nintroduce to the public their vision and mission in putting an
\nend to the economic crisis and ensuring economic glory for the
\nnation. They must come up with a solution to the economic crisis
\nand encourage the public to hold debates about this matter.
\n* Our people are politically intelligent and mature enough to be
\nable to judge for themselves the quality of political parties
\nduring their election campaigns.
\n* Every Indonesian should strive to bring back the glory of the
\nnation and cull everything good from our experiences as a nation.<\/p>\n
These three things, when properly implemented, will ensure
\nthat the upcoming general election will proceed smoothly and that
\nthe country's economy will improve within a short time.<\/p>\n
