Asian-African Business Summit<\/p>\n
On April 21 and April 22 the Asian-African Business Summit was
\nheld at Hotel Mulia, Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The business summit hosted by the Indonesian Chamber of
\nCommerce and Industry (Kadin) will definitely yield encouraging
\nresponses and the chairman of Kadin should be congratulated on
\nthis.<\/p>\n
While enjoying the absorbing speeches of the many heads of
\nstate during the summit, the arrangements at Hotel Mulia, made
\nthe two-day summit very interesting.<\/p>\n
We were a team of eight delegates from the Economic
\nAssociation of Indonesia and India (ECAII), who attended all
\nsessions of the business summit. All the sessions were well
\nattended and there was all-round appreciation of the speeches.<\/p>\n
While at the dinner session on April 21, at short notice,
\ndecent vegetarian cuisine was provided for eight of us (all of
\nwhom are vegetarians). Reciprocating this courtesy one of our
\ndelegates handed his business card to the waiter -- Pak Muis, who
\nwas coordinating our vegetarian meal.<\/p>\n
Next day, April 22, lunch was served for all delegates -- a
\nContinental Buffet lunch. As we were helping ourselves to salad
\nthe same person Pak Muis identified the member in our team (who
\nhad handed him his business card) and profusely invited us to a
\nspecial table where elaborate vegetarian cuisine was served. We
\nwere very grateful to Pak Muis for his coordination with Hotel
\nMulia's management.<\/p>\n
