        "content": "<p>ASEAN told not to interfere<\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Foreign Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi<br>\nurged ASEAN neighbors on Friday to stay out of its internal<br>\naffairs as he warned against Malaysians abroad seeking to<br>\nundermine the government.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have already told these countries not to meddle in the<br>\ninternal affairs of our country,\" the official Bernama news<br>\nagency quoted him as saying.<\/p>\n<p>Abdullah was commenting on news reports that some supporters<br>\nof sacked deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim have traveled to<br>\nThailand, Indonesia and the Philippines to gain support for<br>\nAnwar.<\/p>\n<p>Anwar was fired from his post on Sept. 2 and arrested days<br>\nlater on 10 corruption and sodomy charges. He has pleaded not<br>\nguilty to all charges, and is to stand trial on four of the five<br>\ncorruption charges next month.<\/p>",
