The conference opened here yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Vietnam is attending the three-day conference for the first<br>\ntime, and is represented by its police director-general, Major<br>\nGeneral Le The Tiem, the spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p>Malaysian Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Rahim Noor also<br>\nlaunched the Aseanapol Database System.<\/p>\n<p>Police chiefs from Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and<br>\nBrunei are also attending the conference. Indonesia is<br>\nrepresented by National Police Chief Lt. Gen. Dibyo Widodo.<\/p>\n<p>The police forces of Malaysia and Singapore currently share an<br>\nonline system.<\/p>",
