ASDP recorded around 128,821 ferry passengers crowding Bakauheni
Port, Lampung, during the peak return flow of the 1447 Hijri Eid al-Fitr
holidays or Lebaran 2026.

General Manager of PT ASDP Bakauheni Branch, Partogi Tamba, in South
Lampung, stated that the peak return flow for Lebaran 2026 occurred on
H+2 or Tuesday (24/3) yesterday.

“Based on 24-hour data from the ASDP post, the total number of
passengers crossing from Sumatra to Java on H+2 and H+3 reached 128,821
people, an increase of 51 percent compared to the realisation for the
same period last year of 85,287 people,” he said, quoted from his
statement on Wednesday, 25 March 2026.

He revealed that 18,137 two-wheeled vehicles had crossed.
Four-wheeled vehicles reached 16,293 units, up 41.8 percent from the
realisation for the same period last year of 11,494 units.

Despite the surge, the company ensured there was no vehicle build-up
in the parking area or at the port entrance. Therefore, the ASDP
Bakauheni branch has mobilised hundreds of combined personnel to handle
potential vehicle pile-ups.

This is because ASDP has also predicted a second wave of peak return
flow to occur on 28 to 29 March 2026. In addition to readiness to handle
the surge in ferry service users during the Lebaran transport period,
ASDP has also meticulously prepared all operational needs.

He advised the public planning to cross from Bakauheni Port to Merak,
Banten, to be aware of the extreme weather conditions currently
affecting almost all regions of Indonesia.
",
