        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry has confirmed that the\nferry service on the Hunimua\u2013Waipirit route will operate 24 hours during\nthe Easter holiday period from 3 to 5 April 2026, to maintain smooth\nmobility for the public from Ambon Island to Seram Island in Maluku.\n\u201cThe 24-hour operation on the Hunimua\u2013Waipirit route is a manifestation\nof ASDP\u2019s commitment to ensuring accessibility and smooth mobility for\nthe public, especially in island regions,\u201d said ASDP President Director\nHeru Widodo in Jakarta on Thursday. He emphasised that this policy is a\nstrategy based on experience, referring to the success of similar\noperational patterns during the 1447 Hijriah Lebaran transport, which\nproved effective in alleviating congestion and distributing passenger\nand vehicle flows more evenly. According to him, with the readiness of\nthe fleet and solid coordination with all stakeholders, the company is\noptimistic that ferry services during the Easter period will run safely\nand smoothly, particularly in the Maluku region. \u201cIn island regions,\nevery movement is not just a journey, but a connector of life,\u201d he\nstated. He noted that from January to March 2026, the Hunimua\u2013Waipirit\nroute recorded impressive performance, serving 150,331 passengers and\n124,078 vehicles. Two-wheeled vehicles dominated with 85,893 units,\nfollowed by four-wheeled vehicles with 25,849 units. \u201cThese figures\naffirm the strategic role of the route as the lifeline of inter-regional\nconnectivity, while also reflecting the high public trust in ASDP\nservices,\u201d said Heru.
