Baubau, Southeast Sulawesi (ANTARA) - The President Director of PT\nASDP Indonesia Ferry, Heru Widodo, has confirmed that the mobilisation\nof humanitarian aid is once again underway towards East Nusa Tenggara\n(NTT) using the KMP Inerie II from Surabaya to support the recovery of\ncommunities affected by disasters in the region.<\/p>\n
\u201cASDP is once again demonstrating its concern for the people of NTT\nwho are undergoing the post-disaster recovery process,\u201d Heru confirmed\nin Baubau, Southeast Sulawesi, on Saturday.<\/p>\n
This time, he stated, the support is being realised through the\nmobilisation of humanitarian aid from Surabaya to Kupang using the KMP\nInerie II, which departed from Ujung Surabaya Port on Saturday, 5\nSeptember 2026.<\/p>\n
Heru noted that in disaster situations, ferry connectivity plays a\nstrategic role in ensuring that aid can reach those in need. \u201cWe want to\nensure that the connectivity provided by ASDP can offer tangible\nbenefits to the community, particularly in emergency response and\ndisaster recovery situations,\u201d said Heru.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that every piece of aid mobilised is a form of care and\nmutual cooperation (gotong royong) to assist residents affected by\nearthquakes in NTT. \u201cTherefore, we invite all parties to come together\nand provide the best support for the affected people,\u201d added Heru.<\/p>\n
This step is part of ASDP\u2019s efforts to support affected communities\nwhile opening space for collaboration with various parties wishing to\ncontribute. According to him, the public, the business world,\ncommunities, and humanitarian organisations can deliver aid to Ujung\nSurabaya Port for subsequent mobilisation to NTT.<\/p>\n
ASDP invites members of the public who wish to contribute to submit\nhumanitarian aid at Ujung Surabaya Port. Information and coordination\nfor aid delivery can be conducted through Toni Saputra (0821-3135-0597)\nand Ayudha Pratama (0852-7573-1638).<\/p>\n
Aid that can be distributed by the public includes food and\nbeverages, basic necessities, medicines and medical supplies, wearable\nclothing, blankets, tents, sleeping gear, baby and child supplies, and\nother basic needs required by the affected population. Every donation is\nexpected to be in good and usable condition to ensure optimal benefits\nfor the people of NTT. This support continues a series of company\ncontributions to assist the recovery process in NTT.<\/p>\n
Previously, ASDP has mobilised humanitarian aid several times through\nferry services, including basic necessities as well as logistical\nsupport and equipment needed in affected areas. These efforts are\ncarried out through coordination with various parties to ensure aid\nmoves safely and reaches those in need.<\/p>\n
ASPD Corporate Secretary Windy Andale added that support for the\npeople of NTT will continue through coordination and collaboration with\nvarious stakeholders. \u201cPost-disaster recovery is not a short process and\nrequires collective work from many parties.
