        "content": "<p>The eviction of Hotel Sultan in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex,\nCentral Jakarta, is scheduled for Thursday, 18 June 2026, following a\nCentral Jakarta District Court ruling for the clearance of Block 15 of\nthe complex, formerly known as Hotel Sultan.<\/p>\n<p>Legal counsel for the Minister of State Secretariat and the Gelora\nBung Karno Complex Management Centre (PPKGBK), Kharis Sucipto, said that\nbased on information from the Central Jakarta District Court, a Notice\nof Eviction Execution dated 19 May 2026 has been sent to PT Indobuildco\nvia registered mail.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, PPKGBK, as the new manager, has time to prepare\nthe handover process to ensure it proceeds orderly, safely, and without\ndisrupting public interests.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith almost a month\u2019s grace period, we hope PT Indobuildco will\nvoluntarily vacate the site. The court\u2019s letter also urges occupants or\nanyone who has acquired rights from Indobuildco to reside in or occupy\nthe land and building to leave voluntarily. This is crucial to prevent\nthe execution from causing new issues,\u201d said Kharis, cited on Tuesday,\n26 May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>PT Indobuildco is a company owned by Pontjo Sutowo, which has been\nmanaging Hotel Sultan.<\/p>\n<p>PPKGBK Director Rakhmadi A. Kusumo stated that his office respects\nthe court\u2019s scheduled execution date.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the return of Block 15 GBK is a crucial opportunity\nto ensure state assets are managed professionally, transparently, and\nbenefit the nation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful that this state asset will be managed\nprofessionally. The proceeds will be returned to the state and\nultimately used for public benefit,\u201d said Rakhmadi.<\/p>\n<p>PT Indobuildco\u2019s legal counsel Hamdan Zoelva affirmed that his\ncompany will continue pursuing legal action regarding the Hotel Sultan\ndispute in Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>According to the former Constitutional Court chairman, the legal\nprocess for the case remains ongoing despite the Central Jakarta\nDistrict Court\u2019s eviction execution ruling. PT Indobuildco is still\nfiling appeals and cassation.<\/p>\n<p>Hamdan stated that in Civil Decision No.\u00a0208 of 2025, the judges\nordered the eviction of the Hotel Sultan area. However, he said the\njudges also stressed the importance of resolving the matter fairly\nthrough negotiation and reconciliation.<\/p>",
