        "content": "<p>BANDUNG \u2014 Ahead of Eid al-Fitr celebrations, the Commission I of the\nWest Java Regional Parliament is scrutinising companies that have\ndefaulted on payments of Eid holiday bonuses (THR) to workers.\nCommission member Pradi Supriatna has requested that the West Java\nprovincial government, through relevant agencies, strengthen oversight\nand take firm action against companies failing to meet these\nobligations.<\/p>\n<p>According to Pradi, THR payments constitute a worker entitlement\nenshrined in legislation and must be fulfilled by employers. He believes\nthe regional government must ensure all West Java companies comply with\napplicable regulations, particularly as Eid approaches when household\nexpenses increase.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTHR is a worker\u2019s right that must be paid by companies. We cannot\nallow companies to delay or default on THR payments, as this causes\nconsiderable hardship to workers, especially approaching Eid when\nhousehold needs are higher,\u201d Pradi said on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the West Java provincial government, through relevant\nagencies, should establish in-person complaint counters for workers\nexperiencing difficulties receiving their THR. Such complaint channels\nwould enable workers to report companies failing to meet their\nobligations.<\/p>\n<p>Pradi also encouraged the regional government to conduct intensive\nawareness campaigns with companies regarding THR payment obligations\nunder applicable regulations. This step is important to prevent\nviolations harming workers whilst maintaining conducive industrial\nrelations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOversight must be strengthened. If companies are found not paying\nTHR as required, firm action must be taken in accordance with applicable\nregulations,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Pradi hopes all West Java companies will fulfil their obligations,\nallowing workers to celebrate Eid more peacefully with their families.\nHe emphasised that company compliance in paying THR represents both\nsocial responsibility and recognition of worker contributions.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, I Gusti Agung Kim Fajar Wiyati Oka, head of West Java\u2019s\nOffice of Manpower and Transmigration, reported that by Sunday, 15 March\n2026, 157 companies had been reported by 194 complainants regarding THR\nissues. Complaints were filed through poskothr.kemnaker.go.id.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing complaint receipt, labour inspectors conduct company\ninspections to verify the accuracy of reports submitted,\u201d Agung Kim said\non Monday, 16 March 2026.<\/p>",
