        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Central Information Commission (KIP) has\nappointed Gede Narayana as the Vice Chairman of KIP to maintain\nprogramme continuity and the execution of institutional duties after\nArya Sandhiyudha resigned from his position as vice chairman and\ncommissioner. KIP Chairman Donny Yoesgiantoro stated that the decision\nwas reached through a plenary meeting after the institution received\nArya\u2019s resignation letter on 8 May 202&lt;0xA0&gt;6. \u201cBased on the\nplenary results, we, the commissioners, have agreed to appoint Mr Gede\nNarayana as the Vice Chairman of the Central Information Commission,\nreplacing the Vice Chairman who resigned,\u201d Donny said in Jakarta on\nWednesday. According to Donny, the resignation process was viewed not\nmerely as the end of a commissioner\u2019s term, but also with consideration\nfor its impact on court proceedings and various KIP work programmes.\nPrior to the plenary meeting, KIP conducted internal and external\ncommunication, coordination, and consolidation to ensure the transition\nprocess followed institutional mechanisms. \u201cWe have a mechanism, namely\nthe Plenary Meeting. The Plenary Meeting is the highest meeting in a\npublic body, specifically within the Central Information Commission, for\nmaking decisions,\u201d he noted. Donny explained that the results of the\nplenary meeting accepting Arya\u2019s resignation will be submitted to the\nPresident along with the submitted resignation letter. KIP is also\nawaiting presidential ratification regarding the changes to the\ninstitution\u2019s leadership structure. In addition to ensuring a smooth\nleadership transition, KIP reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening\nthe principles of public information disclosure through transparency,\npublic participation, and accountability. \u201cRegarding \u2018Open Government\u2019,\nwe all realise there must be transparency, public participation, and\nfinally, accountability,\u201d said Donny. He added that Gede Narayana\u2019s\nappointment as vice chairman could potentially create a vacancy in the\nposition of Commissioner for the Regulatory Field, which Gede previously\nheld. KIP will further examine the mechanism for filling this position,\nincluding the possibility of an interim replacement (PAW), once\npresidential ratification is obtained.<\/p>",
