Arun marks LNG shipment<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): PT Arun, a gas liquefaction company based in
\nAceh, has launched its 2,500th shipment of liquefied natural gas
\n(LNG) to Japan, a company executive said.<\/p>\n
"The 2,500th shipment was carried out by the Aquarius tanker,
\nwhich has a capacity of 125,468 cubic meters," Hariadi Soematri,
\nArun's general manager, was quoted as saying by Antara during the
\nceremony on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Arun, founded in 1978, is owned by the United States-based
\nMobil Oil, Indonesia's state oil company Pertamina and a group of
\nJapanese LNG buyers.<\/p>\n
Indonesia is the biggest producer of LNG in the world. Most of
\nthe gas is exported to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. (hdj)<\/p>",
