        "content": "<p>Artwork auctioned for PAN<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The Mitra Budaya Cultural Center will hold an<br>\nart exhibition and auction to raise funds for the National<br>\nMandate Party (PAN) from Tuesday through Saturday, the organizing<br>\ncommittee said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>About 30 artists will participate in the exhibition at Jl.<br>\nTanjung No. 34, Menteng, Central Jakarta. The auction will be<br>\nconducted by a closed bidding system in which the minimum bid is<br>\nset at 10 percent below the offered price.<\/p>\n<p>Those who bargain above the offered price will have their<br>\nnames listed. Bidding closes at 3 p.m. on Saturday and successful<br>\nbidders will be announced from 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Paintings by H. Widayat, Srihadi Soedarsono, Arifien and Dede<br>\nEri Supria will be auctioned openly on Saturday beginning at 3:30<br>\np.m.<\/p>\n<p>Among the selection are Srihadi's Dialog 1999, an oil on<br>\ncanvas, 83cm by 80cm, offered at an opening price of Rp 45<br>\nmillion and Widayat's Pasar Kecil Di Bawah Pohon Flamboyan (A<br>\nSmall Market Under a Poinciana Tree), a 77cm by 88 cm oil on<br>\ncanvas, at Rp 30 million.<\/p>\n<p>A similar event will take place at Galeri Ardiyanto on Jl.<br>\nMagelang in Yogyakarta from May 1 through May 3, in which 22<br>\nlocal painters will take part.
