        "content": "<p>Arts workshop to be held in Denpasar<\/p>\n<p>Around 22 artists from 11 countries will take part in a joint<br>\nperforming arts parade at Ksirnawa Arts Center in Denpasar on<br>\nNov. 26.<\/p>\n<p>The program involves artists from Asia Pacific Countries<br>\nincluding Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines,<br>\nThailand, Vietnam, Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomon and Tonga.<\/p>\n<p>For the last three months, these Asia-Pacific artists have<br>\nbeen intensively taking part in Balinese dance and music<br>\nworkshops. They are learning various Balinese traditional dances<br>\nsuch as the baris, pendet and janger dances, and many others.<\/p>\n<p>After completing the workshop, the artists will present a<br>\nseries of dance and music performances.<\/p>\n<p>The program, which started in 2004, is expected to improve<br>\ncultural cooperation among the participating countries. \"It is<br>\nalso an effective tool to bring peace to the region through arts<br>\nand cultural activities,\" said head of Bali Cultural Office<br>\nNyoman Nikanaya. -- JP<\/p>",
