Art classes for kids begin<\/p>\n
YOGYAKARTA: The Yogyakarta Cultural Center (TBY) officially
\nlaunched a program called Art for Children, which offers various
\narts and performances classes, especially designed for kids as
\nearly as kindergarten age up to junior high school.<\/p>\n
Head of TBY Suprapto said the free enrollment would begin on
\nMarch 7 go every Sunday morning at the center's office on Jl.
\nSriwedani.<\/p>\n
"We only require them to pay for a monthly donation
\nof Rp 15,000 each," said Suprapto, adding that the
\nprogram was a non-profit venture.<\/p>\n
At the moment there are seven different classes offered for
\nthe program; namely, classical dance, modern dance, music,
\nkarawitan (Javanese musical ensemble), theater and literature
\nclass, fine art, and pewayangan (puppetry).<\/p>\n
The program was designed as part of the efforts to make TBY
\ncompound the center of art activities in Yogyakarta.

"We also hope we will be able to create artists and
\nart performers through the program, or at least help
\nbuild in the children an appreciative attitude towards

\nRelations Manager Atik Damarjadi, the package will include a stay
\nin a Superior Deluxe Room, breakfast served in the room, set
\ndinner or lunch for two, and a spa treatment for two.<\/p>\n
"We also offer a Romantic Set Menu Dinner for Rp
\n145,000++ per person including a glass of champagne at
\nEl Patio Restaurant and a Love Is All Around Party at
\nPub Med with no cover charge," Atik said.<\/p>\n
Four-star Novotel Yogyakarta Hotel similarly offers
\nValentine's Weekend Package for Rp 999,999 net per room for a
\ntwo-night stay on Feb. 13 and Feb.14, 2004 or Feb. 14 and Feb.15.<\/p>\n
The package also includes a voucher for a night's stay at
\nthe hotel including free breakfast.<\/p>\n
Novotel's Assistant Public Relations Manager Dyah Retno
\nWikan said, the hotel was also offering romantic set
\nmenu dinners on Feb. 14, 2004 at 6.30 p.m. to 10
\np.m. at its Kayu Api Restaurant for Rp 299,999 for
\ntwo.<\/p>\n
Offering a wide range of international menus, she said,
\nthe dinner package would also include a glass of Rose
\nwine and a souvenir.<\/p>\n
A similar dinner package is also on offer at the five-star
\nSheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Hotel. The hotel's public relations
\nmanager Bambang W.S., said it would cost Rp 99,000++ per person
\nwith a set menu Valentine's Dinner package that has
\nthree options for special set menus and a glass of
\nchampagne.<\/p>\n
"If you like, you can also have your romantic dinner
\nin our Sasono Suko Lounge while listening to live
