Arrogant UI lecturer<\/p>\n

After visiting an ailing relative on Aug. 21, I, my wife and
\ntwo children went home by motorbike to Srengseng Sawah, South
\nJakarta, passing the road where the campus of the University of
\nIndonesia (UI) is located.<\/p>\n
Right in front of the UI School of Public Health, my child
\n(aged 3), who was sitting in front, accidentally honked the horn.
\nA man in a Feroza sedan on our left, feeling displeased, got out
\nof the car, and started barking and spitting at us. We apologized
\nand thought the matter was settled.<\/p>\n
Just several meters from the spot, the man whom we later came
\nto know as Untung, a lecturer at the university, intentionally
\nbumped our motorbike with his car and again got out to swear at
\nus using abusive language, even threatening to kill me.<\/p>\n
While all this was taking place, three security guards were
\npatrolling the area. My wife, unable to accept this treatment,
\ncalled out to the guards for help. But they were afraid to act
\nbecause they said Untung was a high ranking official at UI.<\/p>\n
Still dissatisfied with his rude behavior, he arrogantly told
\none of the guards to take us into his car. Fortunately the guard
\ndid not obey and asked us to leave.<\/p>\n
We realize our position as ordinary people vis-a-vis a
\nuniversity official. We only wish the lecturer or the UI
\nauthorities will apologize to us by answering this letter.<\/p>\n
