        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesia\u2019s Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos)\nSaifullah Yusuf, alias Gus Ipul, arrived at the Red and White Building\nof the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in Jakarta on Friday\n(8\/5\/2026) using a white Wuling Air EV electric car with a People\u2019s\nSchool sticker.<\/p>\n<p>Gus Ipul stated that he used the electric car because it is part of\nthe transportation assets at the Ministry of Social Affairs\n(Kemensos).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, this is my car with the Deputy Minister; this is an operational\nvehicle of Kemensos,\u201d said Gus Ipul to reporters.<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that the vehicle has been in use at Kemensos for nearly\none month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHopefully, it can be implemented further in the future,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Gus Ipul also stated that his presence at the KPK was to consult and\nseek advice regarding the procurement of goods and services for the\nPeople\u2019s School.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a visit to build relations, consult, seek advice, and at the\nsame time report on the developments in the procurement of goods and\nservices at Kemensos,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>He said that his side would report the procurement of goods and\nservices to the KPK to avoid corruption practices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCoincidentally, we are also starting the implementation of\nprocurement in 2026; we want the President\u2019s strategic programme,\nespecially the People\u2019s School, not to be tainted by corruption\npractices,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, we\u2019ll see what advice they give and follow it up,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>",
