        "content": "<p>The Indonesian Army has dismantled an online gambling operation at a\nmilitary housing complex in Cijantung, East Jakarta, arresting 11\ncivilians, the Army said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Donny Pramono said the raid on\nOctober 4 followed reports of suspicious activities at a house in the\nCijantung Army Housing Complex.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing up on the information, personnel from the 0505\/East\nJakarta Military District Command and local authorities raided the\nlocation and secured evidence for further action,\u201d Pramono said.<\/p>\n<p>The personnel found numerous computers in several rooms at the house,\nwhich were suspected of being used to operate an online gambling\nsystem.<\/p>\n<p>All 11 people arrested were civilians, comprising six men and five\nwomen, Pramono said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey were brought to the military police unit for questioning and\nfurther investigation into activities conducted at the location,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>The authorities seized 32 computers, 14 cellphones and nine personal\nidentity cards during the raid, Pramono said.<\/p>\n<p>He said the operation demonstrated the Indonesian Army\u2019s commitment\nto combating online gambling and preventing illegal activities at\nfacilities under its jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Indonesian Army will not allow facilities within its environment\nto be used for illegal activities that harm the public,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Related news: Denpasar court sentences 35 Indian nationals in online\ngambling cases<\/p>\n<p>Related news: RI continues blocking gambling content to curb\ntransnational networks<\/p>\n<p>Translator: Walda Marison, Nabil Ihsan<\/p>",
