Army officer beaten in Curug<\/p>\n
TANGERANG: An Army officer from a battalion stationed in
\nCijantung, East Jakarta, was beaten by residents after he was
\ncaught having sex with a prostitute at his sister's house in the
\nKelapa Dua housing complex, Curug district, Tangerang regency, on
\nThursday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Curug Police chief Insp. I Ketut Sudarsana said on Friday the
\nofficer, Chief Sgt. Sukri, 30, brought the prostitute to the
\nhouse late on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
"The residents were suspicious because the couple were alone
\nin the house after the owner left for work on Thursday morning.
\nThey feared the neighborhood would be marred with a sex scandal,"
\nhe said.<\/p>\n
The residents stormed the house in the afternoon and found the
\ntwo having sex in the bedroom.<\/p>\n
While being escorted to the village head's office, Sukri was
\nbeaten by residents, leaving him with a bruised and bloodied
\nface.<\/p>\n
Village head Memet reported the officer to the police, who
\nhanded him over to the Military Police.<\/p>\n
"This is a good lesson for military and police officers. Why
\ndidn't they just rent a room at a hotel?" Sudarsana said. -- JP<\/p>",
