Army captain caught with ecstasy and 'shabu-shabu'<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): An Army captain was arrested with at least three
\nother people for allegedly possessing 13 ecstasy pills and a few
\ngrams of shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine) in an apartment in
\nTanjung Priok, North Jakarta, a police officer said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The operational control chief of the North Jakarta Police
\nprecinct, Maj. Bayu, said the 41-year-old captain, identified
\nonly by his initials SH, and the three men were caught in a raid
\non Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
He said the captain was still being questioned by officers
\nfrom the National Police, before being handed over to the
\nMilitary Police.<\/p>\n
\"Officers from the Tanjung Priok subprecinct made the arrest
\nat about 4 a.m. in apartment number 2006 at the Mitra Bahari
\nApartments,\" Bayu said.<\/p>\n
The three other suspects were identified as Bong Kiong Foeang,
\nalias Edi Gunawan, Sukma. A. and Chandra.<\/p>\n
Edi said five ecstasy pills belonged to him, while the
\nremainder belonged to the Army captain. Police say the packets of
\nshabu-shabu belonged to Chandra.<\/p>\n
On Aug. 8, West Jakarta Police detectives apprehended two men
\nin possession of drugs at a hotel. One of them was later
\nidentified as Second Lt. Agus Isrok, an active member of the
\nArmy's Special Force (Kopassus), and son of Gen. Subagyo
\nHadisiswoyo, then the Army's chief of staff.<\/p>\n
Until now, the case -- which is being handled by the Jakarta
\nMilitary Police -- remains a mystery.<\/p>\n
Separately, Jakarta Police chief of detectives Col. Alex
\nBambang Riatmodjo said on Wednesday a smoking device and a packet
\nof shabu-shabu was confiscated from a 38-year-old Chinese
\nnational at Kemayoran Apartment on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n
\"At about 7 a.m. on Tuesday, an anonymous individual informed
\nthe security post at the apartment block that Ka Chun (the
\nsuspect) was behaving suspiciously. On his own initiative, a
\nsecurity guard at the apartment block raided Ka's apartment,
\nfound the drugs, and handed the man and the goods over to us,\"
\nAlex said.<\/p>\n
On the same day, Handi Sudianto, 37, was apprehended with 15
\ngrams of shabu-shabu, 50 ecstasy pills and a smoking device at
\nhis home in Citra Raya housing complex, Cikupa, Tangerang.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, South Jakarta Police arrested seven suspects over
\npossession of 153.6 kilograms of marijuana on Jl. Nyai Dasima,
\nSawah Lama, Ciputat, early Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n
Officers of the Pancoran subprecinct arrested two other drug
\nsuspects on Monday night over possession of 2.8 kilograms of
\ndried marijuana on Jl. Duren Tiga, South Jakarta. (ylt)<\/p>",
