        "content": "<p>Armed rebels launch two more attacks<\/p>\n<p>BANDA ACEH, Aceh (JP): Police on Wednesday said that armed<br>\nrebels had launched yet more hit-and-run attacks, this time on an<br>\narms storage depot and a district religious affairs office.<\/p>\n<p>No casualties were reported in either of the Tuesday night<br>\nincidents.<\/p>\n<p>The first attack occurred when rebels launched a mortar attack<br>\non an arms depot in Pulo Rungkom village, Lhokseumawe.<\/p>\n<p>North Aceh Police Precinct chief Supt. Abadan Bangko on<br>\nWednesday estimated that five mortar projectiles were fired at<br>\nthe depot, \"however no fatalities or major damage was reported as<br>\nthe rebels missed the target\".<\/p>\n<p>Free Aceh Movement (GAM) spokesman Abu Sofyan Daud confirmed<br>\nthe attack saying it was launched in retaliation for Indonesia<br>\nsecurity forces' alleged violations of the Humanitarian Pause.<\/p>\n<p>The second attack occurred when a bomb exploded at the<br>\nreligious affairs office in Suka Makmur district, in Aceh Besar,<br>\nshattering windows and damaging some rooms in the building.<\/p>\n<p>Religious affairs offices across the province have been the<br>\nfrequent targets of such attacks.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy commander of the Cinta Meunasah police operation,<br>\nSupt. Yatim Suyatmo, said that after the explosion another bomb<br>\nwent off near the Lambaro bridge, Inginjaya district, in Aceh<br>\nBesar.<\/p>\n<p>However, the blast failed to damage the bridge,\" Yatim was<br>\nquoted by Antara as saying.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the bridge, linking Banda Aceh and the Blang<br>\nBintang area, escaped damage as the bomb was not powerful enough.<\/p>\n<p>While violence continued on the ground, negotiators of the<br>\nHumanitarian Pause continued to work on the administrative<br>\naspects of the accord.<\/p>\n<p>The Banda Aceh-based Joint Committee on Security Modalities<br>\nrevealed on Wednesday that a six-member monitoring team would be<br>\nset up in each of the four most clash-prone regencies -- Pidie,<br>\nNorth Aceh, East Aceh and South Aceh.<\/p>\n<p>The teams would be tasked with providing immediate reports on<br>\npossible clashes occurring between the security forces and GAM.<\/p>\n<p>The teams are expected to comprise religious and community<br>\nleaders and non-governmental organizations.(50\/lup)<\/p>",
