Ari Sigit hospitalized<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The detained grandchild of former president
\nSoeharto, Ari Haryo Wibowo or Ari Sigit, was admitted to Kramat
\nJati Police Hospital in East Jakarta after complaining of
\nbreathing difficulties, an officer said on Friday.<\/p>\n
City police spokesman Sr. Comr. Anton Bachrul Alam said Ari,
\nwho has been under police detention since Aug. 14, for bullet
\npossession, was identified as having spots on his lungs after a
\nchest X-ray.<\/p>\n
When contacted by The Jakarta Post, Anton could not give
\ndetails on the possible disease suffered by Ari and how long he
\nwould be in the hospital.<\/p>\n
\"Ari needs intensive treatment but I have not yet been
\ninformed about his disease,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Ari has repeatedly told reporters that police have wrongly
\narrested him for bullet possession, saying that they should have
\nconvicted him for consuming drugs as \"they know I take drugs.\"<\/p>\n
He was detained after police searched his house on Jl.
\nRasamala in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Aug. 14, in the search
\nfor his fugitive uncle Hutomo \"Tommy\" Mandala Putra. (emf)<\/p>",
