Korea<\/p>\n<p>SINGAPORE (Reuters): One distressed Argentine corn cargo,<br>\noriginally scheduled for Indonesia, has been diverted to South<br>\nKorea following a ban by Jakarta on South American grain due to<br>\nfoot-and-mouth fears, regional traders said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second Argentine cargo diverted from its original<br>\ndestination, after Indonesia banned grain imports from South<br>\nAmerica and the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>\"The corn cargo will now go to South Korea,\" a leading<br>\nSingapore-based international grains trader said.<\/p>\n<p>Another Singapore grains trader confirmed the market talk.<br>\n\"South Korea is the only country where they could have sold such<br>\na big (panamax-sized) cargo now,\" he said. A panamax-sized cargo<br>\nranges from about 55,000 to 65,000 tons.<\/p>\n<p>Grain traders in Seoul said South Korea's Big Feed Mills Group<br>\n(BFMG) members, including Cheil Jedang Corp, and some of the Top<br>\nMargin Committee (TMC) members had bought the panamax-sized<br>\nArgentine corn cargo, originally scheduled for Indonesia, from<br>\ninternational grains supplier Toepfer.<\/p>\n<p>\"Cheil Jedang's feed making subsidiary in Indonesia originally<br>\nbought the corn,\" a Seoul trader said.<\/p>",
