Fabian Ver to return to the Philippines after fleeing the<br>\ncountry with Marcos at the height of the 1986 \"people power\"<br>\nrevolt that toppled the strongman.<\/p>\n<p>Estrada said Ver had to face charges over the Aug. 21, 1983<br>\nassassination of opposition leader Benigno Aquino Jr., who was<br>\nshot moments after he stepped off the plane on his return from<br>\nexile in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The assassination triggered massive anti-Marcos protests that<br>\nculminated in the revolt that swept Aquino's widow to the<br>\npresidency.<\/p>",
