The Association of Indonesian Entrepreneurs and Managers of Free Nutritious Meals (APPMBGI) has pledged to safeguard the long-term governance of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, aiming to transform it into a sustainable national initiative beyond any fixed period. Through the development of an MBG Command and Control Centre, the association will monitor operations, supervise supply chains, and address logistical gaps, particularly in remote areas, while collaborating with entities like Perum Bulog to stabilise food distribution. APPMBGI also advocates for robust legal frameworks via legislation and positions itself as an independent partner to the government, providing data-driven recommendations to ensure transparency, effectiveness, and optimal impact for beneficiaries.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The General Chairman of the Indonesian Association
of Entrepreneurs and Managers of Free Nutritious Meals (APPMBGI), Abdul
Rivai Ras, stated that his organisation is committed to maintaining the
sustainability of the governance of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG)
programme. “APPMBGI is present to ensure the continuity of MBG
governance, not just for a specific period, but as a long-term
sustainable programme,” Abdul said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.
He explained that APPMBGI is developing the MBG Command and Control
Centre system, which functions to monitor, control, and supervise the
operations of kitchens and the MBG supply chain across Indonesia. The
system, he continued, enables the mapping of regions experiencing supply
shortages and ensures effective logistics distribution, particularly in
underdeveloped areas with limited market access and infrastructure. In
addition, APPMBGI is forging partnerships with several parties,
including Perum Bulog, to support the distribution of national food
reserves. Through its regional networks, the association also helps to
bridge supply chain gaps. Nevertheless, he cautioned that utilising
local markets must be balanced with a strong logistics system to avoid
disrupting price stability and supply. APPMBGI is also pushing for the
MBG programme to have a strong legal foundation through regulations at
the level of a law to guarantee programme continuity amid leadership
dynamics and global challenges. According to Abdul, through the Command
and Control Centre, APPMBGI conducts data analysis to ensure the
programme runs on target, transparently, and delivers real benefits to
the community. He emphasised that APPMBGI is committed to being an
independent organisation that provides input and recommendations to the
government as part of the check and balance mechanism in implementing
the MBG programme. “APPMBGI is present as a strategic partner that
assists the government while ensuring the MBG programme runs optimally,
sustainably, and on target,” he said.
",
