Applications open for young global citizens camp<\/p>\n
The British Council Indonesia is opening applications for 10
\nyoung participants, aged 18 to 25, from Indonesia, Malaysia, the
\nPhilippines, Vietnam and the UK to participate in an
\nintercultural camp on mutual understanding and cultural identity
\nin Davao City, the Philippines, which is to be held from Jan. 16
\nthrough Jan. 25, 2006.<\/p>\n
The 10-day camp, comprising youthful activities, interaction
\nand cultural exchange is geared to empower young leaders to
\noperate more effectively as catalysts for positive change through
\nbetter mutual understanding of one another's cultures and
\nidentities.<\/p>\n
Activities will include visual and performing arts, music,
\nliterary and oral traditions, role play, debate, brainstorming,
\nteam building exercises, trekking, sports, community immersion
\nand institutional visits. The British Council will provide
\ntransportation and accommodation for successful candidates.<\/p>\n
