Apple has launched the Apple Reference Image feature on the iPhone 18\nPro, designed to prove the authenticity of photos taken with the iPhone\ncamera and ensure they have not been manipulated by artificial\nintelligence (AI).<\/p>\n
According to TechCrunch, the feature was introduced during the\n\u2018Surprise and Shine\u2019 event. Apple stated that this feature will be\nhighly beneficial for photographers and photojournalists who require a\nmethod to ensure the integrity of an image.<\/p>\n
The data is processed through Apple\u2019s Private Cloud Compute service\nto generate an unmanipulated version of the image. Users can then\ncompare the Reference Image with other versions of the same photo to\ndetect if any alterations have been made.<\/p>\n
