Appeal to Indovision<\/p>\n
I am very much upset and disappointed knowing that my favorite
\nNational Geographic Channel will be discontinued on April 1 and
\nreplaced with another program.<\/p>\n
For your information, the National Geographic Channel is rated
\none of the best programs in terms of education and entertainment
\nand I see no reason whatsoever for Indovision to terminate it.<\/p>\n
Indovision claims the reason behind the program termination is
\nthe result of customer polling, but frankly speaking, I doubt
\nvery much such a claim for the simple reason that as one of the
\nsubscribers, I have never been contacted by Indovision for my
\nopinion. And furthermore, my personal research shows that the
\nmajority of subscribers do enjoy the National Geographic Channel
\nand very regret this one-sided decision without prior thorough
\nresearch.<\/p>\n
There are other programs which have limited viewers, such as
\nJet, AXN and others which should have been replace long time ago.
\nAnd we are all very much surprised and shocked that Indovision
\nshould choose to replace one of its favorite and much-viewed
\nNational Geographic Channel.<\/p>\n
As we are all aware in Indonesia, there are hardly any quality
\nprograms which can be enjoyed by children, middle-aged people and
\nthe elderly, not to mention intellectuals and ordinary men and
\nsurprisingly enough the National Geographic Channel is just what
\nwe all enjoy viewing.<\/p>\n
The National Geographic Channel not only provides viewers with
\na vast amount of knowledge about flora and fauna but also
\neducates us on how to love our earth and on the dangers of
\npollution o our environment; not to mention the glimpse of
\ncultures of other nations.<\/p>\n
Having said all that, I hereby appeal to your good conscience
\nand goodwill to reevaluate your decision and, better still, to
\nreinstate the National Geographic Channel for the good of your
\nviewers.<\/p>\n
Meantime, I thank you for your kind attention and hopefully
\nthe National Geographic Channel will be on air for as long as
\nIndovision exists in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
