Appeal to Aceh separatists<\/p>\n

The Indonesian government faces a delicate and complex
\nsituation in handling post-tsunami problems in Aceh. While the
\ngovernment's official agency for natural disasters along with the
\nhelp of volunteers are moving rubble and dead bodies, the problem
\nposed by the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) remains.<\/p>\n
Separatist rebels operating under GAM are likely to take this
\nopportunity to get food and other commodities, thereby further
\nconsolidating their movement after many of their relatives and
\nsupport network were wiped out by the tidal waves.<\/p>\n
Therefore, I would like to appeal to GAM followers to
\nimmediately return to the fold of the Republic of Indonesia. At a
\ntime like this, when the region has just been devastated by a
\nterrible catastrophe, they should end the long conflict and join
\nhands to rebuild the province for future generations.<\/p>\n
