        "content": "<p>The Indonesian Rubber Farmers Association (APKARIN and APKARINDO)\nofficially inaugurated its Central Executive Board (DPP) for the\n2026\u20132031 period on Monday (14\/9) at the Ministry of Agriculture\nAuditorium in Jakarta. Carrying the spirit of \u201cSmallholder Rubber\nFarmers Rising,\u201d the organisation reaffirmed its commitment to\nstrengthening farmer structures, increasing productivity, and\nencouraging national rubber downstreaming.<\/p>\n<p>The General Chairman of APKARINDO, Irfan Ahmad Fauzi, stated that\nthis inauguration marks the starting point of a major movement to\nrestore the glory of the smallholder rubber sector. He noted that this\nmandate is not merely ceremonial but a concrete step to support the\nmillions of farming families who depend on the rubber commodity for\ntheir livelihoods.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s momentum is the beginning of a great mandate to revive the\nglory of Indonesia\u2019s smallholder rubber plantations. We must serve as a\nbridge between farmers, the government, industry, and the market,\u201d Irfan\nsaid in his statement.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, APKARINDO read the Declaration Towards Farmer\nIndependence, National Productivity, and National Energy Security. The\norganisation\u2019s primary focus moving forward is to ensure that rubber is\nno longer sold solely as a raw material but possesses added value\nthrough processing industries.<\/p>\n<p>Irfan emphasised the importance of transforming the rubber sector\nfrom upstream to downstream. \u201cThe rise of smallholder rubber is not just\nabout increasing production, but also about creating added value. Rubber\nmust not stop at being a raw material,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n<p>The inauguration ceremony also included the signing of strategic\ncooperation MoUs and a National Rubber Dialogue. The event was attended\nby representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of\nTransmigration, the Indonesian National Police, as well as leaders from\nvarious associations and national rubber industry players.<\/p>\n<p>Support also came from APKARINDO representatives from various\nregions, including Aceh, Palamng, Lampung, Riau, Jambi, Kalimantan, and\nWest Java (Garut and Tasikmalaya). With a spirit of mutual cooperation,\nAPKARINDO declared its readiness to be a strategic partner to the\ngovernment in building an independent, advanced, and sustainable rubber\nindustry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet us make this period the resurgence of smallholder rubber.\nProsperous rubber farmers, a victorious industry, and a sovereign\nnation,\u201d concluded Irfan.<\/p>",
