Serang Deputy Regent Muhammad Najib\nHamas, in Serang on Monday, said that according to data from the\nIndonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) and the Serang\nRegency Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office (Disporapar), tourist visits\nto the area over the past week reached 25,000. He praised PHRI members\nfor providing top-notch service, making Anyer and Cinangka a\ncomfortable, safe, and welcoming destination for visitors. \u2018This\nsituation must be continuously promoted as it aligns with Serang Regent\nRatu Rachmatuzakiyah\u2019s vision to make the regency\u2019s tourist areas an\nattractive alternative destination, particularly for those outside\nBanten,\u2019 he said. He also stressed the importance of synergy between\nPHRI, Community-Based Tourism Groups (Pokdarwis), and micro, small, and\nmedium enterprises (MSMEs) in maintaining service quality standards.\nNajib urged for UMKM and tourism products to remain affordable to foster\na positive image and encourage families to return. Meanwhile, PHRI\nSerang Regency Chairperson Yurlena Rachman noted a sharp rise in tourist\narrivals over the weekend, from Saturday (30 May) to Sunday (31 May),\nwith the public holiday for Pancasila Day on Monday (1 June) also\ncontributing to the surge. \u2018Hotel occupancy rates in the Anyer-Cinangka\narea averaged 100% on Saturday and Sunday.
