Anwar's wife set for poll<\/p>\n
KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): The wife of jailed former Malaysian deputy
\npremier Anwar Ibrahim on Saturday unveiled a manifesto by her new
\npolitical party for forthcoming general elections.<\/p>\n
Titled the \"Agenda for Change,\" it spells out the struggle,
\nguiding principles and reform programs of the National Justice
\nMovement (Keadilan), Wan Azizah Wan Ismail told a news
\nconference.<\/p>\n
\"The party makes it explicit in the Agenda for Change that it
\naims to create a just Malaysian society founded upon religious
\nand humanitarian values,\" she said.<\/p>\n
Azizah said the agenda would be distributed to the Malaysian
\npublic, who can then send their feedback to the party before
\nAugust 10.<\/p>\n
\"A revised Agenda for Change incorporating ideas from the
\npeople which are in line with Keadilan's philosophy will be
\npresented to the nation as the party's manifesto just before the
\ncoming general election,\" she said.<\/p>\n
Party vice-president Chandra Muzaffar said the agenda would be
\npart of a separate manifesto by Keadilan and three other
\nopposition parties in a coalition pact for the election.<\/p>",
