        "content": "<p>Anwar's wife seeks inspiration<\/p>\n<p>MANILA (AP): The wife of arrested Malaysian dissident leader<br>\nAnwar Ibrahim says she wants to learn from the Philippines'<br>\nstruggle against the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos to push the<br>\ndemocratic reform movement in her country.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent letter to former Philippine president Corazon<br>\nAquino, Azizah Ismail said she would continue her husband's<br>\npeaceful struggle for political reforms in Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>Azizah was responding to a letter Aquino sent her earlier by<br>\nfax in which the former Philippine leader narrated her ordeal<br>\nwhen her husband, the late senator Benigno Aquino, the chief<br>\npolitical rival of Marcos, was arrested, jailed and then murdered<br>\nupon returning from U.S. exile in 1983.<\/p>\n<p>The assassination of the senator at Manila's international<br>\nairport triggered massive protests that culminated in the \"people<br>\npower\" revolt that toppled Marcos in 1986 and installed Aquino as<br>\npresident.<\/p>",
