One year into leading Central Sulawesi, Governor Anwar Hafid and Vice\nGovernor Reny Lamadjido have begun to drive various advancements through\nthe BERANI program, which targets the education, health, and\ninfrastructure sectors. Several measurable achievements have been\nrecorded, starting from the distribution of tens of thousands of\nscholarships to accelerating the development of inter-regional\nconnectivity.<\/p>\n
In the education sector, the BERANI Cerdas program has distributed\nscholarships to 23,568 students at various levels. This policy is\nconsidered a strategic step in encouraging equitable access to higher\neducation.<\/p>\n
Insan Praditya Anugrah, an academic from the Open University\u2019s\nDepartment of Government Science, assessed that the policy is important\nfor equitable education. He said the step opens up wider opportunities\nfor students from eastern Indonesia to gain access to quality\neducation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is very important for equitable education so that education\nwhich has so far been concentrated in western Indonesia can be enjoyed\nmore by our brothers and sisters in eastern Indonesia,\u201d said Insan in a\nstatement, Thursday (February 26).<\/p>\n
This program also opens up opportunities for students to pursue\neducation at various universities in Indonesia. He assessed that this\ninter-regional opportunity contributes to the expansion of insights and\nthe exchange of knowledge.<\/p>\n
\u201cI heard that this program allows undergraduate, master\u2019s and\ndoctoral students from Central Sulawesi to study at various universities\nthroughout Indonesia and this is important as an effort to transfer\nknowledge and insights in order to create equity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to him, the follow-up impact of equitable education has the\npotential to strengthen the economic foundation of eastern Indonesia.\nThe chain effect of improving the quality of human resources is\nconsidered to encourage more equitable growth.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith this trickle-down effect, economic equity in the eastern\nIndonesian region will gradually improve,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
In the health sector, the BERANI Sehat program is considered to be\nmost felt by the community because it provides easier and more inclusive\naccess to services. Throughout 2025, this program has served 135,084\npeople in Central Sulawesi.<\/p>\n
Insan said that the steps taken by the provincial government are a\nreal implementation of pro-people policies in the field of health. He\nassessed that guaranteeing access to health services is an important\nfoundation for the welfare of the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government is doing is a real\nimplementation of people\u2019s welfare policies, especially guarantees for\nhealth care facilities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, through BERANI Lancar, the provincial government is\naccelerating the development of strategic infrastructure, including a\nmulti-year road project worth IDR 604 billion and the reopening of the\nPalu IV Bridge to strengthen connectivity and economic activity. This\neffort is considered a concrete step in facilitating the flow of goods\nand services between regions.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the result of important concrete steps for the smooth flow\nof inter-regional connectivity and also the improvement of\ninter-regional economies,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Overall, he assessed that the BERANI program has begun to show a real\nimpact on the people of Central Sulawesi. The hope is that the completed\ninfrastructure development will be able to encourage more inclusive\neconomic growth.<\/p>\n
