A subsidiary of PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, IPC Terminal Petikemas
(IPC TPK), has ensured full operational readiness by providing 24-hour
loading and unloading services seven days a week (24/7). This step is
taken to anticipate the surge in container flows ahead of Eid al-Fitr
1447 H while supporting the government’s policy on restrictions for
goods transport during the homecoming period. Entering the third week of
Ramadan, national logistics activities, particularly in the domestic
segment, have begun to show significant escalation.

At Terminal Petikemas 2 (TP2) Domestic, the surge in activity was
recorded at 37.5% compared to the previous week, driven by increased
throughput and vessel call frequency.

Corporate Secretary of IPC TPK, Pramestie Wulandary, stated that this
increase has been anticipated through the strengthening of an integrated
operational system.

“We fully support the government’s policy regarding restrictions on
goods transport during the homecoming period. Therefore, IPC TPK ensures
that loading and unloading services continue to operate optimally 24/7
with intensive monitoring support and readiness of personnel across all
lines,” said Pramestie in her statement on Wednesday (18/3).

To avoid accumulation in the port area, IPC TPK has implemented
several strategic mitigation measures. These include the optimisation of
gate pass services and the utilisation of Lini 2 stacking yard as a
buffer for Lini 1. In addition, IPC TPK has established cooperation with
several supporting container depots around Tanjung Priok. The
strengthening of traffic management and safety control functions is also
carried out by placing Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) personnel
at vulnerable queuing points.

In line with the planned implementation of goods transport
restrictions from 13 to 29 March 2026, IPC TPK projects an acceleration
of delivery activities by customers. The company is actively urging
service users to promptly collect containers to avoid potential pile-ups
after Eid.

“Accelerating deliveries before the restriction period is key to
maintaining supply chain smoothness. We are optimistic that the national
logistics flow will remain stable through synergy between operators,
regulators, and service users,” added Pramestie.
",
