Mataram (ANTARA) \u2013 The Anti-Drone Task Force began deploying on\nThursday from Bukit 360 Mandalika to prevent unauthorised drones from\nflying in the area of the Mandalika Circuit in Central Lombok Regency,\nWest Nusa Tenggara.<\/p>\n
West Nusa Tenggara Police public relations chief Senior Commissioner\nMohammad Kholid said in Mataram on Thursday that the task force\ncomprises personnel from the Indonesian National Police\u2019s Mobile Brigade\nCorps headquarters.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey have been placed on standby to anticipate unauthorised drone\nactivity entering the circuit during the 2026 MotoGP,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said the aerial security operation was part of the police\u2019s\nefforts to protect the safety of riders, officials, spectators and\neveryone else at the circuit.<\/p>\n
Commissioner Kholid explained that the task force has two enforcement\nmethods. The first is jamming technology, which can disrupt a drone\u2019s\nGPS signal and communication frequencies.<\/p>\n
The other method is return to home (RTH), which forces a drone to\nreturn to its launch point.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, if a drone is found disrupting the security zone, officers can\njam its signal, force it back to its launch point, or carry out a forced\nlanding in a safe location,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He urged the public not to fly drones indiscriminately around the\nMandalika Circuit while the international race takes place from 9 to 11\nOctober 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe remind the public and visitors not to fly drones without\npermission.
