        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2013 PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), or ANTAM, a mining company and\nmember of the state-owned holding MIND ID, recorded positive performance\nin early 2026 with significant net profit growth supported by the\ndominance of gold sales amid global challenges.<\/p>\n<p>In the first quarter of 2026 (January\u2013March), ANTAM booked a net\nprofit for the period of Rp 3.66 trillion, up 58% from Rp 2.32 trillion\nin the same period the previous year. This performance was achieved amid\ncommodity price fluctuations, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East,\nand global economic slowdown.<\/p>\n<p>ANTAM\u2019s President Director Untung Budiharto stated that this\nachievement was inseparable from the consistency of operational and\nfinancial strategies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe implementation of robust operational strategies as well as\ndisciplined and prudent financial management has driven sustainable\nperformance strengthening,\u201d said Untung Budiharto in an official\nstatement in Jakarta on Monday (28\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThus providing positive returns and added value for shareholders,\u201d\nhe added.<\/p>\n<p>From an operational perspective, the gold segment was the largest\ncontributor with about 81% of total sales. Gold sales reached Rp 23.89\ntrillion, up 11% from Rp 21.61 trillion in the same period last\nyear.<\/p>\n<p>Gold sales volume reached 8,464 kilograms or equivalent to 272,124\ntroy ounces, in line with the strengthening of domestic marketing\nstrategies.<\/p>\n<p>To maintain supply, ANTAM signed a Gold Sales &amp; Purchase\nAgreement (GSPA) with the Merdeka Group on 4 March 2026 to ensure the\ncontinuity of gold raw materials.<\/p>\n<p>The nickel segment contributed Rp 4.47 trillion or 15% of total\nsales, up 19% from Rp 3.77 trillion. Nickel ore production reached 3.88\nmillion wet metric tons (wmt) with sales of 3.40 million wmt, all\nabsorbed by the domestic market.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, ferronickel production reached 3,976 tons of nickel in\nferronickel (TNi) with sales of 2,803 TNi, all exported.<\/p>\n<p>From the bauxite and alumina segment, the contribution reached Rp\n879.14 billion or 3% of total sales, up 24% from Rp 708.75 billion.\nBauxite production reached 628,785 wmt with sales of 593,476 wmt.<\/p>\n<p>This operational strengthening drove gross profit to Rp 5.62\ntrillion, up 54% from Rp 3.64 trillion. Operating profit reached Rp 4.50\ntrillion, up 67% from Rp 2.69 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, other income increased 15% to Rp 279.60 billion from Rp\n243.64 billion. Basic earnings per share rose to Rp 141.77 from Rp\n88.69.<\/p>\n<p>From the balance sheet perspective, ANTAM\u2019s total assets stood at Rp\n63.30 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, up 31% from Rp 48.30\ntrillion. Equity rose 17% to Rp 40.41 trillion from Rp 34.62\ntrillion.<\/p>\n<p>Cash and cash equivalents position reached Rp 9.04 trillion, up 31%\nfrom Rp 6.92 trillion, reflecting the company\u2019s financial\nflexibility.<\/p>",
