        "content": "<p>PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) is committed to accepting a special\nassignment from the Government to accelerate the nickel downstreaming\nprogramme and the development of the national electric vehicle battery\necosystem. In a statement following the Annual General Meeting of\nShareholders (AGMS), Antam President Director Untung Budiharto said the\ncompany will continue to strengthen its downstream-based business\ndevelopment and mineral value chain integration, in line with the\nnational development agenda. \u201cThrough various integrated strategic\nprojects, Antam is not only increasing added value, but also supporting\nthe strengthening of national industrial independence and Indonesia\u2019s\nposition in the global industry supply chain,\u201d Untung stated, cited on\nWednesday (10\/6\/2026). The assignment encompasses the development of an\nintegrated nickel-based battery ecosystem from upstream to downstream,\ncovering mining activities, construction of RKEF\/RKSBF plants, HPAL\nfacilities, refineries, precursors, cathodes, battery cells, and battery\nrecycling facilities. The development of this ecosystem is expected to\nincrease the added value of national mineral resources, expand the\ncompany\u2019s revenue sources, strengthen long-term business resilience, and\nsupport sustainable growth for all stakeholders. The assignment will be\ncarried out through cooperation between Antam and PT Industri Baterai\nIndonesia (IBI) together with HYD Investment Limited, a consortium\nconsisting of Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd., EVE Energy Co., Ltd.,\nand PT Daaz Bara Lestari Tbk., as strategic partners in the development\nof an integrated electric vehicle battery ecosystem in Indonesia.<\/p>",
