Therefore, workplace solutions are an\nimportant aspect of operations that can improve productivity, efficiency\nand compliance, while creating a better experience for employees and\ncustomers.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to this need, ISS Indonesia held Banking Connect 2026 with\nthe theme \u2018Building Future-Ready Banking Operations: Lean, Smart and\nSustainable\u2019. The forum brought together regulators, business\nassociations and banking industry players to share perspectives on\ndevelopments in labour regulations, including outsourcing management, as\nwell as the use of technology in building more efficient, adaptive and\nsustainable operations.<\/p>\n<p>Banking Connect 2026 featured speakers from various perspectives,\nincluding the Ministry of Manpower represented by Andi Awaluddin, Head\nof the Wage Development Team, who is also Head of the Labour Law\nDrafting Team, discussing developments in labour regulations.<\/p>\n<p>From the business community, Myra M. Hanartani, Chair of the\nRegulatory and Institutional Relations Committee for Employment at\nAPINDO, shared perspectives on how businesses are anticipating\nregulatory dynamics. Meanwhile, Norwin Zebua, Vice President of\nOutsourcing Management at PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, shared experiences\nin managing outsourcing and operational compliance in the banking\nsector. The forum was attended by more than 40 banking practitioners\nfrom various leading institutions in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>From the business perspective, Myra M. Hanartani highlighted various\nchallenges currently faced by businesses in maintaining business\ncontinuity and competitiveness amid rapid change. \u2018The business world\ncurrently faces challenges in the form of rising operational costs,\nregulatory dynamics, and the readiness of human resources that match\nindustry needs. To face these conditions, companies need to implement\nfive main steps, namely comply, prepare, streamline, productive, and\nadapt to remain competitive and sustainable amid evolving business and\ntechnological changes,\u2019 said Myra M. Hanartani.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Andi Awaludin emphasised that the development of labour\nregulations needs to maintain a balance between worker protection and\nbusiness sustainability. \u2018Labour development is based on the principle\nof balance, namely protecting workers\u2019 rights to a decent livelihood\nwhile supporting the investment climate and business sustainability.\nGoing forward, labour regulations must not only be adaptive to labour\nmarket dynamics, but also visionary in anticipating various changes,\nincluding the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and the gig\neconomy,\u2019 said Andi Awaludin.<\/p>\n<p>As a provider of Integrated Facility Management (IFM), ISS Indonesia\nsees that regulatory developments, technology and efficiency demands can\nbe supported by workplace solution transformation that is more\nmeasurable and output-based.
