        "content": "<p>A traffic accident involving a Mitsubishi truck and a Daihatsu Luxio\noccurred on the Denpasar-Gilimanuk road, precisely at the bend near\nSegara Rupek Temple, Gilimanuk Village, Melaya District, Jembrana\nRegency. The incident, which took place on the \u2018skull route\u2019 on Monday\nmorning (7\/9\/2026), left one person injured.<\/p>\n<p>The accident began when the Mitsubishi truck with registration plate\nP 8152 EE, driven by a man with the initials AJ (47), was travelling\nfrom Gilimanuk towards Denpasar at around 07.50 WITA. While passing the\nlocation of the incident at Km 120-121, the truck driver recklessly\novertook the articulated lorry in front of him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Mitsubishi truck overtook a Hino articulated lorry on a winding\nroad with continuous markings. At the same time, a Daihatsu Luxio with\nregistration DK 1638 AB, driven by a man with the initials IMK (50), was\napproaching from the opposite direction,\u201d said the Head of the Traffic\nUnit of the Jembrana Police, AKP I Wayan Sugianta, when confirmed by\ndetikBali on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Rainy conditions and a slippery road surface made the collision\nunavoidable, even though both drivers attempted to brake. The distance\nhad become too close, causing the front sections of the two vehicles to\nsmash into each other.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the incident, the Luxio driver suffered lacerations to\nhis head and left knee and required medical treatment. Meanwhile, the\ntruck driver, who is from Situbondo, was confirmed to have escaped\nwithout injury.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDue to the hard impact, the front of both the Luxio and the\nMitsubishi truck was badly damaged. Total material losses from the\nincident are estimated to reach Rp 25 million. This traffic accident\ncase is now being handled by the Traffic Unit of the Jembrana Police,\u201d\nexplained Sugianta.<\/p>",
