Anonymous leaflet in Ujungpandang<\/p>\n
UJUNGPANDANG, South Sulawesi: Maj. Gen. Agum Gumelar, chief of
\nWirabuana military command overseeing Sulawesi, called on the
\npublic over the weekend to ignore anonymous leaflets that urged
\npeople to boycott next month's election.<\/p>\n
The authorities had tracked down people they suspected of
\nprinting and distributing the leaflets, he told journalists at a
\n"coffee morning" session he hosted.<\/p>\n
He said the authorities were collecting more concrete evidence
\nto catch the suspects.<\/p>\n
"We don't want to act against any suspect without sufficient
\nevidence," he said.<\/p>\n
Similar leaflets have also been circulated in Palu in Central
\nSulawesi, Bandung, Jakarta and Bogor. (31\/37)<\/p>",
