Reconstruction is an immense task,\" he said, before<br>\ndeparting for Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing some 4,000 people from a small podium in front of<br>\nthe freshly painted Portuguese colonial governor's palace on<br>\nDili's waterfront, Annan was flanked by black-clad widows, whom<br>\nhe said were \"symbolic representatives of all those who died<br>\nduring the violence\".<\/p>\n<p>Placards held by the crowd called for the Indonesian generals<br>\ndeemed responsible for the violence by UN and Indonesian rights<br>\ninquiries to be brought to trial.<\/p>",
