Angry son nearly severs mother's ear<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Humiliated and angered by his mother's beatings,
\na teenager took a kitchen knife and slashed his mother's left ear
\nuntil it nearly came off at their residence in the village of
\nTambun, Bekasi.<\/p>\n
Bekasi Police officer Second. Insp. Adri said the son, 17-year
\nold Bambang, was currently at large.<\/p>\n
The injured woman, Rumai, 48, a mother of four children, was
\nmad with Bambang as he had failed to be promoted at school.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday night, Rumai stripped her son of his clothes and
\nstarted to beat him for failing in his class. She kept on
\nscreaming at him.<\/p>\n
Bambang got angry, took a kitchen knife and struck his
\nmother's left ear, and right eyebrow, Adri said, quoting what
\nRumai's husband, Zaenal, 49, had told police.<\/p>\n
Bambang then took off. Rumai's another son, Deny Saputra,
\nreturned home from college and found his mother bleeding
\nprofusely, immediately took her to Medika Cibitung Hospital.<\/p>\n
