Angry mobs torch minivan, one killed<\/p>\n
TANGERANG (JP): Residents torched a public minivan on Monday
\nat 7th kilometer of Jl. Gatot Subroto in Jatiuwung subdistrict,
\nhere, after an accident in which an 11-year-old boy named M.
\nNurhasani was killed and six others were injured.<\/p>\n
The driver, identified as Parmin, 24, was driving home at
\nspeed when a group of seven children playing in front of a
\nrestaurant tossed lit firecrackers onto the road.<\/p>\n
Parmin reportedly failed to slow down and mowed into the crowd
\nof children. Soon after the incident, he brought the victims to
\nTangerang Hospital's emergency unit, leaving his minivan by the
\nside of the road.<\/p>\n
Nurhasani died in the hospital while the other six children
\nreportedly suffered minor injuries. Parmin turned himself over to
\nthe police later in the day.<\/p>\n
Upon hearing the news, angry locals then set fire to the
\nminivan. Its wreckage was taken to Jatiuwung Police station as
