Angry mob ravages house in Demak<\/p>\n
DEMAK, Central Java: At least one house was seriously damaged
\nwhen people from the neighboring village of Tambak Bulusan in the
\nCentral Java town of Demak stormed a house in the village of
\nBanjarsari here on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The mob looking for Sudarno, a rival in Banjarsari, became
\nangry when they failed to find him and quickly smashed furniture
\nand all belongings inside the house, and beat Sudarno's son-in-
\nlaw, Kairul Rohman.<\/p>\n
It was not clear how badly Khairul was injured.<\/p>\n
The violence was apparently sparked by continuing revenge
\nbetween residents of the two villages.<\/p>\n
It erupted on Sunday night when Sudarno, who was trying to
\npurchase liquor in Tambak Bulusan, became involved in a brawl
\nwith local residents.<\/p>\n
The local police anticipated the chaos by taking Sudarno to
\nthe police station and deploying personnel in the border of the
