JAKARTA (JP): Angelique Widjaja and Dea Sumantri moved a step
\ncloser to an all-Indonesian final in the girls' singles of the
\nIndonesia Gas Negara International Junior tennis championships on
\nThursday.<\/p>\n
Angelique beat compatriot Novianti Warsono 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 and
\nsecond-seeded Dea overcame Maretha Van Niekerk of South Africa 7-
\n5, 6-2 to reach the semifinals.<\/p>\n
Angelique meets Japanese Kumiko Iijima, who beat Thailand's
\nWilawan Choptang 6-3, 6-3, on Friday. Dea challenges Constanze
\nSteiner of Austria, who defeated Japanese Masayo Hosokawa 4-6, 6-
\n4, 6-3.<\/p>\n
In the boys' semifinals, Thailand's Sonchai Ratawani will meet
\nWang Yeu Tzuoo of Chinese Taipei and Lukasz Kubot will face
\nClinton Jacobs of South Africa on Friday.<\/p>\n
Ratawani edged Izak Van der Merwe of South Africa 7-6 (7-5) 4-
\n6, 7-5, and Wang beat another South African, Jason Pieters, 1-6,
\n6-2, 6-4. Kubot beat Gunter Austerhuber of Austria 6-1, 3-6, 6-4
\nand Jacobs defeated Marco Mirnegg of Austria 6-0, 3-6, 6-3.
