        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - RSUP National Dr.\u00a0Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM) has\nstated that Andrie Yunus, Deputy Coordinator of KontraS, underwent his\nthird surgery on his right eye on Saturday (28\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCurrently, Andrie is experiencing minimal pain in his right eye and\nno signs of infection have been found,\u201d said RSCM\u2019s Legal and Public\nRelations Manager, Yoga Nara, in a written statement on Tuesday night\n(31\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>He explained that during the surgery, the surface of Andrie Yunus\u2019s\nright cornea was found to be increasingly thin, with a leak in the\neyeball wall.<\/p>\n<p>To prevent further damage, the eyeball was patched with tissue from\nthe patient\u2019s limb membrane and then covered with conjunctival\nmembrane.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, the right eye was deliberately closed temporarily by\nsuturing the eyelid to protect and maintain the eyeball\u2019s shape during\nthe healing process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis closure is planned to last around four months,\u201d Yoga\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>Yoga said that monitoring of the eye condition will be carried out\nperiodically according to the patient\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Andrie Yunus is still under observation by a\nmultidisciplinary medical team consisting of plastic surgery\nspecialists, ophthalmologists, and other related healthcare\npersonnel.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to ensure the recovery process runs optimally and\ncontinuously.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall, the patient\u2019s psychological condition is quite stable\ndespite experiencing a severe traumatic event,\u201d Yoga revealed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe medical team continues to provide psychological support to\nensure the patient remains calm and able to follow the treatment process\noptimally,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Previously reported, the acid attack case on Andrie Yunus has entered\na new phase after four personnel from the TNI Strategic Intelligence\nAgency (BAIS) were secured in connection with alleged involvement in the\nincident.<\/p>\n<p>They are Captain NDP, Lieutenant SL, Lieutenant BHW, and Sergeant\nES.<\/p>\n<p>This development also led to the resignation of BAIS TNI Head Yudi\nAbrimantyo as a form of accountability.<\/p>",
