        "content": "<p>Andrian rejoins national team today<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Tennis Association has confirmed<br>\nthat it will let Andrian Raturandang return to the Davis Cup team<br>\nand the 19th SEA Games training.<\/p>\n<p>Benny Mailili, an official of the association's National<br>\nTennis Board, said yesterday that Andrian would start training<br>\ntoday.<\/p>\n<p>\"In his letter of apology today, Andrian said he was sorry for<br>\nhis misbehavior during training,\" Benny said. \"He mentioned all<br>\nhis mistakes in detail, including being late for practice.\"<\/p>\n<p>He said that Andrian, who suffered dehydration last month in<br>\nManila during a Davis Cup match against the Philippines, had not<br>\nhad enough time to rest because he often went out late at night<br>\nand had visitors in his hotel room until midnight.<\/p>\n<p>\"He said in his letter 'if I still break the rules in the<br>\nfuture I will take all consequences including being dismissed<br>\nfrom the national team,'\" Benny said, quoting Andrian's letter.<\/p>\n<p>The board will pick four players for the Davis Cup team next<br>\nmonth for a tie against New Zealand here. It is also supervising<br>\nplayers' preparations for the Games, to be held here from Oct. 11<br>\nto Oct. 19.<\/p>\n<p>The association had decided to send a confidential dismissal<br>\nletter to the National Sports Council to avoid publicity.<\/p>\n<p>Andrian declined to comment yesterday saying \"I'm sorry I<br>\ncan't comments. I have to practice now\".<\/p>\n<p>The association had relegated Andrian on March 3 from the team<br>\nbecause of his undisciplined actions.<\/p>\n<p>All national team athletes who will compete at the Games are<br>\ntraining at the Senayan sports complex and staying at Hotel Atlet<br>\nCentury Park.<\/p>\n<p>Supervision<\/p>\n<p>The council, which is responsible for the team's training and<br>\naccommodation, set up a 24-hour supervision team yesterday to<br>\nobserve the athletes.<\/p>\n<p>\"We had tried to treat them like adults but we have just found<br>\nout that they must be supervised,\" Eman Sumusi, an SEA Games team<br>\nofficial, said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>He said the council and the hotel had started relocating the<br>\nathletes yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>\"Female athletes are staying on the second floor and male<br>\nathletes are staying on the third and fourth floors,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>The team is using 125 rooms, each holding four athletes, of<br>\nthe hotel's 600 rooms.<\/p>\n<p>\"We are accommodating about 450 athletes in 113 rooms and we<br>\nare trying to treat them like hotel guests,\" said the hotel's<br>\narea director and general manager Rodney Darwin.<\/p>\n<p>Eman said all athletes had to go to sleep at 10.00 p.m. on<br>\nwork days and at midnight on weekends.<\/p>\n<p>Fed Cup<\/p>\n<p>In an Asia Oceania Qualifying Group I match, the Indonesian<br>\ntennis team is scheduled to meet New Zealand today on the<br>\nplexipave courts of the Wellington Renouf Center, Wellington.<\/p>\n<p>Third-seeded Indonesia is in Group A with New Zealand, India<br>\nand first-seeded Chinese Taipei. Second-seeded China is in Group<br>\nB with Kazakhstan, Hong Kong and Thailand.<\/p>\n<p>Benny said Indonesia had a good draw which could ensure<br>\nvictory in the group.<\/p>\n<p>\"We can beat New Zealand and India. But we have to work hard<br>\nto overcome Taipei to win the group,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>Benny said that Yayuk Basuki, ranked 24th in the world, would<br>\nplay singles to take a point.<\/p>\n<p>\"If our second singles, either Wynne (Prakusya), Eny<br>\n(Sulistyowati) or Mimma (Chernovita) can also win, Yayuk will not<br>\nplay doubles,\" he said.
